No shocking result in a game when third ranked JKL Dolphins (5-1) crushed bottom-ranked Angels (0-5) in Kampala 96-42 on Wednesday. JKL Dolphins held Angels to an opponent 22.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.4 percent accuracy of the winners. JKL Dolphins forced 29 Angels turnovers and outrebounded them 71-34 including a 37-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Angels' players. The winners were led by the former international power forward Hope Akello (183-1997) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Becky Longom supported her with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Four JKL Dolphins players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by Elizabeth Akol (-1993) did not help to save the game for Angels. Grace Kwarisiima (-1987) added 9 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. JKL Dolphins have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 5-1 record having 2 victories less than leader JTL Jaguars. Loser Angels still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with A1 Challenge.
