The biggest surprise of round 8 was guest UCU Canons' (4-3) road victory over one of their biggest challengers KCCA P. (3-4) 90-80 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KCCA P.. UCU Canons made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded KCCA P. 57-37 including a 44-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Jimmy Otim (-1999) who scored 25 points and 4 assists. Guard Jerry Kayanga (-1997) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Salim Kisilu produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Kenyan forward Martin Ouma (195-1999) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Four UCU Canons and five KCCA P. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCU Canons have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. KCCA P. at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with UPDF. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
