Regular Season Round 7: Miracle - Nkumba LM 78-57

Bottom-ranked Nkumba LM (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-57 loss to sixth ranked Miracle (3-3) in Kampala. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Nkumba LM's 26. Miracle forced 26 Nkumba LM turnovers and outrebounded them 62-29 including a 26-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Brenda Alyano who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Forward Lillian Cherotich contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Isabella Namugabo answered with 15 points and Regina Ajuma (178-2003) added 14 points in the effort for Nkumba LM. Four Nkumba LM players scored in double figures. Miracle maintains sixth place with 3-3 record, which they share with KIU Rangers. Nkumba LM at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Miracle's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena .
