Regular Season Round 6: JTL Jaguars - Miracle 78-40

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: JTL Jaguars (#1) and Miracle (#6). JTL Jaguars (6-1) smashed visiting Miracle (2-3) by 38 points 78-40. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Miracle. JTL Jaguars forced 28 Miracle turnovers and outrebounded them 56-28 including a 24-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Miracle's players. The former international forward Sarah Ageno (176) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and guard Amoding Moreen (-1990) supported her with 17 points. JTL Jaguars' coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Susan Amito did not help to save the game for Miracle. Guard Eden Tekitendwa (-2000) added 4 points and 6 rebounds. JTL Jaguars have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted JTL Jaguars maintains first position with 6-1 record. Miracle at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with KIU Rangers. JTL Jaguars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Miracle's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Nkumba LM.
