Regular Season Round 6: JTL Jaguars - Angels 63-30

NBL top team - JTL Jaguars (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Angels (0-3) in Kampala 63-30. JTL Jaguars held Angels to an opponent 17.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.1 percent accuracy of the winners. JTL Jaguars forced 29 Angels turnovers and outrebounded them 54-34 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Angella Lokwameri who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Sarah Ageno (176) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Catherine Amugusut (-1983) who recorded 9 points and Elizabeth Akol (-1993) added 7 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JTL Jaguars have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted JTL Jaguars maintains first position with 6-1 record. Loser Angels still closes the standings with three games lost. JTL Jaguars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Angels' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Magic Stormers.
