No shocking result in a game in Kampala where third ranked JTL Jaguars (4-1) smashed bottom-ranked A1 Challenge (0-4) 63-34 on Monday. JTL Jaguars held A1 Challenge to an opponent 21.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.9 percent accuracy of the winners. JTL Jaguars forced 22 A1 Challenge turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. JTL Jaguars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by A1 Challenge's players. The former international forward Sarah Ageno (176) stepped up and scored 9 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Angella Lokwameri chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Cathy Kekimuli responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and Mastullah Namuli scored 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JTL Jaguars have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with JKL Dolphins. Loser A1 Challenge still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Nkumba LM. JTL Jaguars' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Miracle.
