Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Blazers (#7) and KCCA P. (#8). Blazers (2-1) smashed visiting KCCA P. (1-3) by 20 points 89-69. Blazers forced 21 KCCA P. turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The winners were led by Peter Cheng who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Geoffrey Soro (198-1992) supported him with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five Blazers players scored in double figures. Even 28 points and 6 rebounds by Kenyan forward Martin Ouma (195-1999) did not help to save the game for KCCA P.. Center Daniel Gaaki (-1992) added 11 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. KCCA P.'s coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Blazers moved-up to third place, which they share with Power. KCCA P. at the other side keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Blazers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Power.
