Regular Season Round 4: JKL Dolphins - Nkumba LM 130-49

There was no surprise in Kampala where bottom-ranked Nkumba LM (0-3) was crushed by second ranked JKL Dolphins (3-1) 130-49 on Sunday. JKL Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 98 of its points in the paint compared to Nkumba LM's 26. JKL Dolphins forced 40 Nkumba LM turnovers and outrebounded them 92-25 including a 52-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. JKL Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Nkumba LM's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Christine Namulumba who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 23 rebounds and forward Becky Longom who added 16 points and 18 rebounds during the contest. Five JKL Dolphins players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Patience Mauso (-2000) responded with 14 points and Pennitah Nabakooza scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JKL Dolphins maintains second position with 3-1 record having just one point less than leader Magic Stormers. Loser Nkumba LM still closes the standings with three games lost. JKL Dolphins' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala KIU Rangers.
