Regular Season Round 4: A1 Challenge - Magic Stormers 33-47

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Magic Stormers (#1) and A1 Challenge (#8). A1 Challenge was defeated at home 33-47 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Magic Stormers held A1 Challenge to an opponent 18.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded A1 Challenge 54-41 including a 38-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Kur Ajah who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks. Guard Christine Nakito contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Cathy Kekimuli replied with 3 points and 14 rebounds and forward Sharua Nakirya (-2000) added 8 points in the effort for A1 Challenge. A1 Challenge's coach tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Magic Stormers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record. A1 Challenge at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Kampala Uni. Magic Stormers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. A1 Challenge's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Kampala Uni.
