Very predictable result when third ranked UCU Canons (18-5) smashed on the road 11th ranked Tropical R. (8-16) 98-65 on Friday. UCU Canons dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Tropical R.'s 34. They outrebounded Tropical R. 56-28 including a 42-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. UCU Canons looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Tanzanian forward Chuma Fadhili (-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Fayed Baale (-2001) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Five UCU Canons players scored in double figures. UCU Canons' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Juma Osman who recorded 22 points and 8 rebounds and Duallo Joshua added 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. UCU Canons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 18-5 record behind leader Blazers. Tropical R. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost.
