Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Kampala: Miracle (#6) and Nkumba LM (#10). Nkumba LM was defeated at home 57-67 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Miracle forced 24 Nkumba LM turnovers and outrebounded them 60-41 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Miracle made 8 blocks. Forward Brenda Alyano nailed 31 points and 5 assists for the winning side and forward Lillian Cherotich accounted for 2 points, 18 rebounds and 8 blocks. Forward Shadia Mbwali (170-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Catherine Nakimuli (-1998) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Nkumba LM in the defeat. Newly promoted Miracle maintains sixth place with 8-10 record. Nkumba LM lost their ninth game in a row. They stay dead last with 17 lost games.
