There was no surprise when 10th ranked Ndejje Angels (9-13) lost to second ranked City Oilers (19-5) in Kampala 83-90 on Sunday. City Oilers forced 25 Ndejje Angels turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Ndejje Angels' players. The winners were led by Nigerian Francis Azolibe who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Enabu Jimmy supported him with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals. Five City Oilers players scored in double figures. Even 26 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Cikom Monybai did not help to save the game for Ndejje Angels. Samuel Ajak (198-1999) added 26 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the hosts. Ndejje Angels' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion maintains second position with 19-5 record having just one point less than leader Blazers. Loser Ndejje Angels keep the tenth place with 13 games lost. City Oilers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ndejje Angels will play against Tropical R. (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
