Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: UCU Canons (#3) and JKL Dolphins (#7). UCU Canons (17-5) won against visiting JKL Dolphins (11-12) 59-46. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JKL Dolphins. UCU Canons dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to JKL Dolphins' 20. UCU Canons forced 27 JKL Dolphins turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Peter Sifuma (-1996) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and Sudanese center Titus Lual (-1998) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Malual Dier responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Mabor Makol scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. UCU Canons have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-5 record having just three points less than leader Blazers. JKL Dolphins at the other side keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. UCU Canons will play against Tropical R. (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JKL Dolphins will play against the league's leader Blazers (#1) and hope to get back on the winning track.
