Regular Season Round 20: Blazers - Tropical R. 113-55

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Tropical R. (8-14) was outscored on the road by first ranked Blazers (19-4) 113-55 on Saturday. Blazers dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Tropical R.'s 34. Blazers forced 28 Tropical R. turnovers and outrebounded them 59-29 including a 21-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tropical R.'s players. The winners were led by Kenyan forward Okall Koranga (206-1990) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals and Deng Dikong supported him with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Four Blazers players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 6 rebounds by Juma Osman did not help to save the game for Tropical R.. Davis Apuuli added 12 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Blazers have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-4 record. Newly promoted Tropical R. keeps the eleventh place with 14 games lost. Blazers will meet JKL Dolphins (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Tropical R. will play against UCU Canons (#3) and hope to secure a win.
