Regular Season Round 20: Blazers - Our Saviour 70-47

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Blazers (19-4) crushed at home 9th ranked Our Saviour (10-13) 70-47 on Friday. Blazers dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Our Saviour's 26. Blazers forced 31 Our Saviour turnovers. The winners were led by Kenyan forward Okall Koranga (206-1990) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and center Daniel Monoja (197-1993) supported him with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) did not help to save the game for Our Saviour. Guard Davis Assimwe added 11 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Blazers have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-4 record. Newly promoted Our Saviour dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with KCCA P.. Blazers will meet JKL Dolphins (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Our Saviour will play against Betway Power and hope to secure a win.
