Regular Season Round 16: JKL Dolphins - Magic Stormers 87-83

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked JKL Dolphins (18-0) beat 6th ranked Magic Stormers (7-11) in Kampala 87-83 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. JKL Dolphins forced 28 Magic Stormers turnovers and outrebounded them 64-48 including 26 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by Kenyan center Taudencia Oluoch (189-1995, college: ACU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 23 rebounds and the former international power forward Hope Akello (183-1997) supported her with 15 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists. Four JKL Dolphins players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals by guard Diana Letaru did not help to save the game for Magic Stormers. Forward Racheal Nanyonga added 24 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. JKL Dolphins have an impressive 18-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-0 record. Magic Stormers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost.
