Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: Miracle (#7) and Angels (#5). Miracle (7-10) won against visiting Angels (9-9) 72-64. Miracle dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Angels' 24. Miracle forced 29 Angels turnovers and had a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Lillian Cherotich who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and Brenda Nakitende (-1994) supported her with 18 points and 6 steals. Four Miracle players scored in double figures. Even 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by Elizabeth Akol (-1993) did not help to save the game for Angels. Point guard Ruth Kirungi (-1994) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Angels' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Miracle moved-up to sixth place. Loser Angels keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Miracle's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Nkumba LM.
