Regular Season Round 19: Tropical R. - Our Saviour 90-96

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Our Saviour and 10th ranked Tropical R. had identical 8-12 record. But Tropical R. was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kampala 96-90 on Wednesday night. Our Saviour forced 26 Tropical R. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Our Saviour made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. Forward Elton Bakara (-1996) helped adding 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Duallo Joshua responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists and Allan Nandala scored 22 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tropical R.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Our Saviour maintains ninth place with 9-12 record. Tropical R. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Our Saviour's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena KIU Titans.
