Regular Season Round 17: Tropical R. - Betway Power 87-82

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Tropical R. (7-12) won against at home 4th placed Betway Power (13-6) 87-82 on Sunday. Tropical R. forced 22 Betway Power turnovers. Allan Nandala nailed 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Juma Osman accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four Tropical R. players scored in double figures. Guard Innocent Ochera (-1997) came up with 22 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and forward Samad Imran (-1993) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Betway Power in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Tropical R. maintains tenth place with 7-12 record. Loser Betway Power keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Tropical R. will meet at home Victoria USY (#12) in the next round. Betway Power will play against KIU Titans (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
