Ninth-ranked Nabisunsa (2-14) gave a tough game to third ranked UCU Ladies (12-4) in Kampala on Sunday. UCU Ladies managed to secure only two-point victory 51-49. However their fans expected much easier game. UCU Ladies outrebounded Nabisunsa 63-50 including a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Caroline Nakato (-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Millicent Otieno (-1995) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Darlene Tashobya (-2005) produced 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Sarah Namale (-2005) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. UCU Ladies have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with KCCA Leopards. Nabisunsa lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. UCU Ladies' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Magic Stormers.
