Regular Season Round 17: Falcons - Blazers 42-100

Bottom-ranked Falcons is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 20th consecutive match to fourth ranked Blazers (13-4) 100-42 on Saturday evening. Blazers forced 39 Falcons turnovers and outrebounded them 53-35 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Falcons' players. Chuol Nyuot nailed a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Kenyan point guard Kennedy Wachira (180-1995) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Blazers players scored in double figures. Blazers' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kenneth Mesho came up with 12 points and 9 rebounds and forward Emmanuel Mwesigwa added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Falcons in the defeat. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Blazers. They moved-up to third place. Falcons lost their twentieth game in a row. They still close the standings. Blazers will meet KCCA P. (#7) in the next round. Falcons' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala UPDF.
