Regular Season Round 16: UPDF - Ndejje Angels 104-76

There was no surprise in Kampala where 11th ranked Ndejje Angels (5-12) were crushed by fifth ranked UPDF (12-7) 104-76 on Sunday. UPDF forced 29 Ndejje Angels turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Ndejje Angels' players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman David Okello (-1997) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ferdinand Odama (-1995) who added 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side Samuel Ajak (198-1999) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Joseph Kumbai scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UPDF have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Ndejje Angels keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. UPDF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ndejje Angels' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena JKL Dolphins.
