Regular Season Round 13: A1 Challenge - Angels 53-61

Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Kampala: Angels (#5) and A1 Challenge (#8). A1 Challenge was defeated at home 53-61 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Angels forced 29 A1 Challenge turnovers. Guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Susan Amito (-1988) accounted for 9 points and 7 rebounds. Irene Eyau came up with 6 points and 16 rebounds and Kekimuli Cathy added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for A1 Challenge in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Angels maintains fifth place with 7-7 record. A1 Challenge lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Angels' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Nkumba LM.
