Regular Season Round 14: Our Saviour - UCU Canons 61-52

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked UCU Canons (14-4) in Kampala on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by ninth ranked Our Saviour (7-10) 61-52. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of UCU Canons. Our Saviour forced 25 UCU Canons turnovers. Power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Ruot Yat contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Our Saviour players scored in double figures. Our Saviour's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sudanese center Titus Lual (-1998) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and center Peter Sifuma (-1996) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for UCU Canons. Newly promoted Our Saviour maintains ninth position with 7-10 record. UCU Canons at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. Our Saviour are looking forward to face higher ranked Betway Power (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UCU Canons will play against Tropical R. and are hoping to win this game.
