There was an upset when higher ranked KCCA P. (9-8) was edged on the road by eleventh ranked Victoria USY (5-14) 52-50 on Saturday. Victoria USY forced 35 KCCA P. turnovers. Strangely KCCA P. outrebounded Victoria USY 51-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. Maker Mayen notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Mambo Kabuya supported him with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Daniel Ojoro (-1994) did not help to save the game for KCCA P.. Mark Bamutende (-1998) added 6 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. KCCA P.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Victoria USY have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Victoria USY maintains eleventh position with 5-14 record. Loser KCCA P. keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with JKL Dolphins. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
