Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Kampala: JKL Dolphins (#1) and Angels (#6). Angels were crushed at home by 26 points 52-78 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. JKL Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Angels' 30. JKL Dolphins forced 19 Angels turnovers and outrebounded them 62-30 including a 31-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Brenda Ekone (152-1996) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The former international power forward Hope Akello (183-1997) accounted for 9 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Grace Kusaba (-1991) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Angels in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for JKL Dolphins. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Loser Angels dropped to the fifth position with six games lost.
