Regular Season Round 11: Miracle - Magic Stormers 47-45

The most exciting game of round 11 in the NBL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Magic Stormers (6-7) to seventh ranked Miracle (5-7) 47-45 on Sunday evening. Miracle held Magic Stormers to an opponent 16.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 25.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Miracle forced 26 Magic Stormers turnovers. Strangely Magic Stormers outrebounded Miracle 66-51 including a 33-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Barbara Namukaaya orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Racheal Nanyonga answered with 9 points and 11 rebounds and guard Shila Lamunu added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Magic Stormers. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Miracle maintains seventh place with 5-7 record. Magic Stormers at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost.
