Regular Season Round 13: Tropical R. - UPDF 43-82

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Tropical R. (5-10) was outplayed at home by sixth ranked UPDF (10-7) 82-43 on Sunday. UPDF dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tropical R.'s 32. UPDF forced 36 Tropical R. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Tropical R.'s players. Arthur Wanyoto fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Swingman David Okello (-1997) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Isaac Katumba produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and guard Norman Musinguzi added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UPDF moved-up to fifth place. Tropical R. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. UPDF's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena JKL Dolphins.
