The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Nkumba LM's (1-11) home loss to ninth ranked A1 Challenge (2-9) 52-71 on Sunday. A1 Challenge forced 28 Nkumba LM turnovers. Sandra Wangeshi had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Kekimuli Cathy chipped in 4 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. A1 Challenge's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Shadia Mbwali (170-2001) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Catherine Nakimuli (-1998) scored 8 points and 14 rebounds. A1 Challenge moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nabisunsa. Nkumba LM lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. A1 Challenge's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Nabisunsa.
