Regular Season Round 10: Nabisunsa - KIU Rangers 38-81

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Kampala: KIU Rangers (#3) and Nabisunsa (#8). Nabisunsa was smashed at home by 43 points 38-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. KIU Rangers forced 38 Nabisunsa turnovers and outrebounded them 52-32 including a 27-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. KIU Rangers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Nabisunsa's players. Forward Sharon Kirabo (170-1996) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Ines Kanyamunza chipped in 17 points during the contest. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Patience Karungi responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Tamasha Nsubuga scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. KIU Rangers (10-3) keep a position of league leader. Nabisunsa at the other side keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with A1 Challenge. KIU Rangers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena .
