Regular Season Round 11: Tropical R. - City Oilers 67-97

Everything went according to plan when first ranked City Oilers (13-2) outplayed on the road 10th ranked Tropical R. (5-9) 97-67 on Sunday. City Oilers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tropical R.'s 26. They outrebounded Tropical R. 58-45 including 43 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Okello James who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Ruai Luak (196-2004) accounted for 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five City Oilers players scored in double figures. Juma Osman came up with 19 points and Isaac Katumba added 4 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Tropical R. in the defeat. Tropical R.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for City Oilers. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Tropical R. lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
