Regular Season Round 11: UCU Canons - City Oilers 54-71

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: City Oilers (#1) and UCU Canons (#2). UCU Canons were crushed at home by 17 points 54-71 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Drileba Tonny orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Enabu Jimmy contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four City Oilers players scored in double figures. City Oilers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tanzanian forward Chuma Fadhili (-1995) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and center Peter Sifuma (-1996) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UCU Canons. City Oilers (13-2) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. UCU Canons at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. City Oilers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UCU Canons will play against Victoria USY and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
