Regular Season Round 8: Betway Power - Our Saviour 81-66

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Our Saviour (4-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked Betway Power (9-3) 81-66 on Wednesday. Betway Power forced 23 Our Saviour turnovers and outrebounded them 53-37 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Betway Power looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Guard Innocent Ochera (-1997) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Elton Bakara (-1996) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Betway Power have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-3 record behind leader UCU Canons. Our Saviour lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Betway Power will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Our Saviour's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala City Oilers.
