Regular Season Round 8: Ndejje Angels - JKL Dolphins 70-77

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: JKL Dolphins (#10) and Ndejje Angels (#11). Ndejje Angels were defeated at home 70-77 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. JKL Dolphins forced 30 Ndejje Angels turnovers. Strangely Ndejje Angels outrebounded JKL Dolphins 51-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Mabor Makol who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Brian Namake (-1990) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 9 steals. Four JKL Dolphins players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was David Mayom (201-2000) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds and power forward Cikom Monybai added 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Ndejje Angels' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. JKL Dolphins (5-5) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with KIU Titans. Ndejje Angels lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with six games lost. JKL Dolphins' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena UCU Canons.
