Regular Season Round 7: UPDF - Blazers 73-67

There was a minor upset in Kampala where 4th placed Blazers (5-4) were defeated by sixth ranked UPDF (5-4) 73-67 on Saturday. UPDF forced 24 Blazers turnovers. It was a great evening for swingman David Okello (-1997) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Brian Opiyo (-1995) helped adding 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. UPDF's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side DR Congolese center Amisi Saidi (200-1987) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Paul Odong (-1991) scored 20 points. UPDF moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Blazers. UPDF will meet KCCA P. (#7) in the next round. Blazers will play against Falcons and hope to secure a win.
