Regular Season Round 7: Victoria USY - Betway Power 64-74

Very predictable result when third ranked Betway Power (8-3) beat on the road 12th ranked Victoria USY (1-8) 74-64 on Saturday. Betway Power forced 20 Victoria USY turnovers and outrebounded them 47-26 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international forward Geoffrey Soro (198-1992) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Elvis Ssentongo (-1999) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side Maker Mayen responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Nyong Marrier scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Victoria USY's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Betway Power have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Victoria USY lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Betway Power will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Victoria USY will play against KIU Titans (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
