Regular Season Round 7: Tropical R. - KCCA P. 66-88

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Tropical R. (4-6) was crushed at home by eleventh ranked KCCA P. (4-5) 88-66 on Wednesday. KCCA P. forced 22 Tropical R. turnovers and had a 39-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Kenyan forward Martin Ouma (195-1999) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Emmanuel Odongkara (-1989) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four KCCA P. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Duallo Joshua responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and Juma Osman scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KCCA P. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with JKL Dolphins. Newly promoted Tropical R. keeps the ninth position with six games lost. KCCA P. will meet at home higher ranked UPDF (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tropical R. will have a break next round.
