Regular Season Round 5: Magic Stormers - UCU Ladies 35-53

The biggest surprise of round 6 was guest UCU Ladies' (5-1) easy road victory over one of their biggest challengers Magic Stormers (4-2) 53-35 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Magic Stormers. UCU Ladies held Magic Stormers to an opponent 21.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 28.6 percent accuracy of the winners. UCU Ladies forced 30 Magic Stormers turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Rose Akon (-2000) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Agatha Kamwada (-2000) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Christine Nakito who recorded 6 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Aja Kul Aguti added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCU Ladies have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with KIU Rangers. Magic Stormers at the other side keep the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with KCCA Leopards.
