Regular Season Round 2: Tropical R. - UPDF 54-67

Not a big story in a game when Tropical R. lost at home to UPDF 67-54 on Sunday. UPDF forced 39 Tropical R. turnovers and outrebounded them 38-22 including 16 on the offensive glass. Swingman David Okello (-1997) notched 27 points to lead the effort and forward Wilberforce Pirwoth (-1995) supported him with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Even 13 points by Allan Nandala did not help to save the game for Tropical R.. Guard Roxine Ahumuza (175-2000) added 6 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UPDF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tropical R. will play against JKL Dolphins in Kampala and hope to win that game.
