Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Nadi Basket (18-5) in Staoueli on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Rouiba (14-9) 75-68. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Nadi Basket. Rouiba forced 20 Nadi Basket turnovers. Center Sid Benzaime (203-2002) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Ziad Chenieff (194-2001) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Mohamed Bensalah (200-2002, college: Paul Quinn) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds for Nadi Basket. Rouiba moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mouloudia and CR Beni Saf. Defending champion Nadi Basket still keeps top position with five games lost. Rouiba is looking forward to face US Setif (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nadi Basket will play against NA Hussein Dey (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Alger supposed to be also worth to mention about. 4th placed CR Beni Saf (14-9) played at the court of fifth ranked Mouloudia (14-9). Mouloudia did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of CR Beni Saf. It was a great evening for the former international forward Oussama Aggoun (197-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ramzi Merahi helped adding 18 points. Guard Imad Didi (182-2004) responded with 19 points and 4 assists. CR Beni Saf's coach Didi Said rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Mouloudia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with CR Beni Saf and Rouiba. Mouloudia will play against CR Dar Beida (#10) in Dar El-Beida in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. CR Beni Saf will play at home against USM Alger (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Ouled Chbel between NA Hussein Dey and Moustakbal. Thirteenth ranked NA Hussein Dey (5-18) got a very close victory on the road over 14th ranked Moustakbal (3-20). NA Hussein Dey managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 in the game for the thirteenth place. It was an exceptional evening for Nabil Saidi who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Anis Sedoud came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds for Moustakbal in the defeat. Moustakbal's coach Bilel Faid tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. NA Hussein Dey maintains thirteenth place with 5-18 record. Moustakbal lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. NA Hussein Dey will meet at home league's leader Nadi Basket in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Moustakbal will play against CSC Djasr (#9) in Constantine and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 23: Chabab Sportif beat CSC Djasr on the road 87-79. Widad won against CR Dar Beida on its own court 79-68. USM Blida managed to outperform US Setif in a road game 56-54. Chabab Sportif managed to beat Taradji Amel at home 69-64. CSC Djasr was defeated by USM Alger on the opponent's court 73-64.




CSC Djasr - Chabab Sportif 79-87

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Chabab Sportif (16-7) beat 9th ranked CSC Djasr (11-12) in Constantine 87-79 on Friday. Chabab Sportif made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Chadian center Abakar Oumar (208-2002) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Farouk Hadjadj-Aoul accounted for 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. The former international forward Zakaria Guezout (200-1992) came up with 27 points and point guard Bouhaous Messaoudi (193-1988) added 10 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for CSC Djasr in the defeat. Five Chabab Sportif and four CSC Djasr players scored in double figures. Chabab Sportif have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-7 record having just two points less than leader Nadi Basket. CSC Djasr at the other side keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Chabab Sportif will meet USM Blida (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CSC Djasr will play against Moustakbal and hope to secure a win.
