Angola - Rwanda 60-59
Angola held off Rwanda to improve at 3-1 record in Group A. Josemar Cesar (2007) posted 22 points to lead the winners. Angola enjoyed an 18-9 lead ten minutes into the game. They maintained the lead throughout the next two periods. Rwanda limited their opponents to just 8 points in the fourth period but could not avoid the defeat. Celestino Augusto (2007) had 11 points and 9 rebounds for Angola. Ivan Mugabo (2007) answered with 18 points for Rwanda.
Mali - Tunisia 77-42
Mali outgunned Tunisia for the fourth straight win at the tournament. Mali recorded a 47-24 halftime lead. They held Tunisia to just 18 points in the second half and raced to the victory. Mamadou Diarra (2007) posted 23 points, while Sekou Bagayoko added 14 points for Mali. Ahmed Bedoui (2007) answered with 17 points for Tunisia.
Group B
Guinea - Chad 82-64
Guinea outscored Chad to register the third straight win in Tunisia. Guinea accounted for a 48-37 halftime lead. Chad pulled within 2 points at the final break. But Guinea went on a 22-6 rally in the fourth quarter to ice the victory. Nour Toure (2008) posted 27 points, while Araphan Diane (2007) added 18 points and 24 rebounds for the winners. Mahamat Ousmane (2008) answered with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Chad.
Uganda - Morocco 85-80
Uganda outscored Morocco to open win count in Tunisia. They trailed by just one point at the first break. But Uganda turned the deficit into a 41-35 halftime advantage. Morocco were back in front heading into the fourth stanza scoring 28 points in the next quarter. But Uganda triggered a 24-17 rally in the final term to snatch the win. Tejan Rugette (2007) provided 35 points, while Harry Tindyebwa (2007) added 20 points for Uganda. Omar Karem (182-G-2007) replied with 24 points and 9 assists for Morocco.
