Ivory Coast - Gabon 110-57
Ivory Coast breezed past Gabon to open win count at the tournament. Ivory Coast posted a 46-35 halftime lead. They sank 64 points in the second half to race to the first victory. Dominique Diomande (197-F-05) stepped up with 34 points and 23 rebounds, while Hamad Bamba (179-G-05) added 28 points for Ivory Coast. Leny Simba (169-G-06) answered with 18 points for Gabon.

Chad - Uganda 72-49
Chad held off Uganda to gain 3-1 record in Cairo. Chad got to a quick start. They established a 39-20 halftime lead. Uganda slowed their opponents down in the second half but Chad hung on to claim the victory. Mahamat Tahir (06) tallied 20 points and 26 rebounds for Chad. Brighton Galiwango (06) answered with 14 points for Uganda.

Egypt - Mali 62-71
Mali defeated Egypt to remain undefeated in Cairo. Mali stayed in charge throughout the first half. They accumulated a 36-20 halftime lead. Egypt sank 24 points in the fourth period to cut the deficit but could not avoid the first loss at the tournament. Malick Diallo (05) banked in 18 points and 12 rebounds for Mali. Moussa Diawara (05) added 17 points for the winners. Adam Elhalawany (190-SF-05) answered with 21 points for Egypt.
