Mali outscored Nigeria to reach the championship game. Mali grabbed a 25:23 halftime lead. They followed with a 17:11 run in the third term to clear off for good. Haroune Toure (03) posted 12 points for Mali. Souleymane Dembele (03) had 9 points in the win. Rueben Chinyelu (203-F-03) responded with 12 points and 17 rebounds for Nigeria.

Egypt - Guinea 71-67
Egypt knocked down Guinea in the semifinal battle on Saturday. Egypt recorded a 32:25 halftime lead. Guinea denied the deficit in the third term. They pulled in front for a 3-point advantage at the final break. But Egypt poured in 23 points in the fourth quarter to race to the victory. Abdullah Ahmed (205-C-03) tallied 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Mahmoud Mohamed (192-SF-03) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for Egypt. Abdoulaye Donzo (03) answered with 20 points for Guinea.
