Group AMauritius - Tunisia 24-99Tunisia cruised past Mauritius to take 4-1 record in Group A. Sameh Ben Amor (01) netted 18 points to pace the winners. Tunisia dominated from start to finish. They accounted for a 43:7 halftime advantage. Tunisia dropped 56 points in the second half and coasted to the win. Faiez Ghomrassi (01) delivered 15 points in the victory. David Crudo (01) responded with 10 points for Mauritius. Mozambique - Mali 40-103 Mali eased past Mozambique for the fifth consecutive victory in Group A. Siriman Kanoute (01) provided 26 points to lead the winners. Mali accumulated a 50:18 halftime lead. They dominated throughout the second half and cruised to the victory. Fousseny Dieng (01) had 17 points for the winners. Ndzengo Buvana (01) responded with 12 points for Mozambique. Group BEgypt - Rwanda 82-42Egypt remained undefeated in Group B. They trounced Rwanda for 5-0 record. Youssef Elmadawy (01) tossed in 18 points to pace the winners. Egypt claimed a 32:13 lead after ten minutes. They followed with a 40:18 run in the second half to seal the winning outcome. Aly Khalifa (201-F-01) had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Thierry Nkundwa (01) answered with 22 points for Rwanda. Madagascar - Algeria 78-71 Madagascar registered the second victory in Group B. They overcame Algeria to catch up with them in the standings. Sitraka Raharimanantoanina (01) stepped up with 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Algeria enjoyed a 33:28 halftime lead. But Madagascar responded with a 33:21 rally in the final stanza to ice the win. Marco Rakotovao (01) and Olivier Jaoravo (01) chipped in 18 points each in the victory. Amir Bouzidi (01) responded with 24 points for Algeria. |
