Group AMali - Mauritius 108-38Mali recorded the fourth consecutive victory at the championship. They bruised Mauritius to remain undefeated. Siriman Kanoute (01) stepped up with 27 points to pace the winners. Mali accumulated a 63:4 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Adama Sanogo (02) chipped in 16 points and collected 9 boards for the winners. Hermann Camal (01) responded with 11 points for Mauritius. Tunisia - Mozambique 46-30 Tunisia held off Mozambique to gain 3-1 record in Group A. Zied Mehrez (01) posted 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the winners. Tunisia accumulated a 27:14 halftime lead. They held Mozambique to just 16 points in the second half and rallied to the win. Fares Kacem (01) netted 8 points in the victory. Ndzengo Buvana (01) responded with 10 points and 11 rebounds for Mozambique. Group BAlgeria - Egypt 49-65Egypt knocked down Algeria to ensure the fourth consecutive success in Mauritius. Momen Hassan (01) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds for Egypt. They grabbed a 33:23 halftime lead. Egypt followed with a 21:10 run in the fourth stanza to seal the win. Aly Khalifa (201-F-01) posted 18 points and 9 boards for Egypt. Amir Bouzidi (01) responded with 14 points for Algeria. Rwanda - Madagascar 73-70 Rwanda held off Madagascar to open win count in Port Louis. Elias Ngoga (01) recorded 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort. Rwanda ensured a 36:26 halftime lead. Madagascar erupted for 44 points in the second half but came up short of victory. Theirry Nkundwa delivered 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Olivier Jaoravo (01) netted 19 points for Madagascar. |
