Equatorial Guinea - Mali 29-89
Mali cruised past Equatorial Guinea for the fourth consecutive victory. Five players scored in double digits for the hosts. Kassoum Doumbia recorded 13 points to pace Mali. The hosts recorded a massive 55:10 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Boubacar Toure had 11 points in the win. Vicente Bualo responded with 8 points for Equatorial Guinea.

Rwanda - Algeria 44-66
Algeria posted the second victory in Bamako. They rallied past Rwanda for 2-2 record in Group A. Mohamed Sahbi stepped up with 16 points to lead the winners. Algeria built a 31:19 halftime lead. They extended the gap at 20-point mark heading into the fourth quarter. Algeria kept Rwanda at bay throughout the final quarter and raced to the win. Mostefa Braik had 14 points in the victory. Kenny Rubaduka responded with 10 points for Rwanda.

Nigeria - Egypt 46-107

Morocco - Tunisia 40-61
Tunisia rallied past Morocco to take 2-1 record in Group B. Tunisia grabbed a 30:22 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 17-point mark at the final intermission. Tunisia held their counterparts to just 8 points in the fourth frame and sealed the win. Mohamed Jammali delivered 13 points for Tunisia. Hatim El Kalma responded with 13 points for Morocco.

South Africa - Ethiopia 67-70
Ethiopia recorded the second victory in Group B. They snatched a tough victory over South Africa to improve at 2-2 record. Leul Tafere had 20 points and 8 rebounds for Ethiopia. Barkot Gezahegn accounted for 12 points in the winning case. Clinton Meela responded with 20 points for South Africa.
