Egypt celebrated the third consecutive victory at the African Championship. They outgunned Equatorial Guinea for 3-0 record in Group A. Eight players scored in double digits for Egypt. Ahmed Khalaf (206-F/C-99) stepped up with 25 points, 18 rebounds and 6 steals for the winners. Egypt went on a 37:2 rally in the second frame to establish a 64:19 halftime lead. Egypt unleashed 81 points in the second half and rallied to the victory. Youssef Abdrabou posted 23 points and 9 rebounds in the win. Luis Nlavo responded with 16 points for Equatorial Guinea as they fell at 0-3 record in the ladder.
