African Championships starts in Bamako

African Championships U16 starts in Bamako as four games opened the campaign last night. In Group A Algeria beat Nigeria 57-52 as Mostefa Braik netted 15 points for the winners and Ahmed Zakaria added 13. Mali overcame Rwanda 75-40.
In Group B Ethiopia grabbed a 58-52 win over Morocco as Leul Tafere notched 22 points to lead all the winners, whilst Omar Mankour brought 20 in defeat. Angola outscored South Africa 54-49 after they trailed 8 points at the halftime. Artur BRANCO Sacarrolha stepped up with 13 points for the winners and RIBEIRO DA SILVA SEBASTIAO netted 12.
