Adamu Saaka
Al Gharafa Doha (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American (has also Ghanian passport) small forward Amu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman, agency: Court Side). It is actually his comeback to Doha as he played here before. Saaka played most recently at Al Wakrah (D1).
The previous (13-14) season he played at Al Gharafa. In 8 games he recorded 12.6ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.1spg in 2013-14 season.
In 12-13 season Saaka played at Saint-Quentin (ProB) in French league. In 34 games he averaged 10.1ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.2apg in 2012-13 season.
In 11-12 season he played at Landstede Basketbal Zwolle (Eredivisie) in Dutch league. In 36 games he averaged 11.7ppg, 6.8rpg (#4 in the league), 1.4apg and 1.2spg in 2011-12 season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as he was voted to Dutch Eredivisie All-Star Game. Saaka received NABC Division I All-District 22 1st Team award back in 2011 at his college time.
Saaka graduated from Furman University in 2011 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.

Al Gharafa added to their roster 29-year old American point guard Dominic James (180-PG-86, college: Marquette). He played this season at Al Rayyan (D1). He helped them to win the league title. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Defensive Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team.
James is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Bulgaria (Lukoil Academic Sofia), France (Poitiers), Greece (Aris), Italy (Trenkwalder RE), Serbia (Partizan), Turkey (Mersin) and NBA (Milwaukee Bucks).
James attended Marquette University until 2009 and it is his seventh season as a professional player.
On James: An energetic player with a strong body and great court vision. He is a good playmaker, but he's even better at the defensive side of the court.
