The game had a very big importance for second-rankedLady Canons as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lady Canons defeated 9th ranked Miracle in Kampala 54-36 . Lady Canons held Miracle to an opponent 18.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Lady Canons forced 25 Miracle turnovers and outrebounded them 64-40 including a 46-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sylivia Nakituuka stepped up and scored 3 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Matrina Anyango chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Caroline Natako scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lady Canons (7-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Miracle lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost.
